THE ARTENGINE NEW MUSIC SERIES
OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE

Artengine, a local, not-for-profit new media art production center and artist-run web site will be presenting eight FREE (as in no admission!) concerts this summer called The Artengine New Music Series.

The Artengine New Music Series aims to present an innovative and exciting blend of experimental electronic music and other forms of audio art from the Ontario and Quebec region, with a focus on Ottawa in particular.

Some highlights of the series include Ottawa's own Tim Hecker and if then do, Gatineau's Simon Guibord, and Montreal's Dreamcatcher, Christof Migone and Martin Tetrault.

Performances will happen once every week, on either Thursday or Friday nights at the Mercury Lounge (56 Byward) or at Artengine's new space at 44 Byward, just half a block from the Mercury Lounge and right above Irving Rivers.

The music series begins on June 30th at 930 at the Mercury Lounge. Martin Tetrault will be doing an avant-garde turntable performance. I highly recommend that you come out to the Mercury Lounge earlier however, for only $8 one can see two short plays and some fascinating live music, put on by Ottawa locals Christie Watson and Katie swinwood, featuring never-before performed plays by David LeFort Nugent and Christie Watson.
