Sources describes where all of the images used in scratch video come from. This raw material can be split into two general categories, samples and DIY images. Samples are content copied from TV, movies or the web, and frequently build on audiences familiarity with popular culture. DIY (do it yourself) means images made with a video camera, or made using software on a PC. Creating images gives editors ultimate creative control over design.
