The Grant Writing Workshop Series will give Deaf artists an opportunity to work on their grant writing skills.

This hands-on workshop series will teach Deaf artists how to write a strong grant application and convince

Playwriting

The Playwriting Workshop Series will teach Deaf writers how to write a play.

There is a specific structure and format on how to write a play properly.

In this series, Deaf writers will be supported with plot development and world-building.

Existing scripts will be used as examples as a template for your play.

Each series will last four weeks, the workshops will be held once a week.

There will be assignments – it is your choice to complete them or not.

Option 3: Hold for In-Person Workshops (not confirmed but possible for Spring 2023)

The scheduled live workshops will be taken on zoom and recorded.

We’ll use the Teachable platform to access our course materials and recordings.

Who are the workshops for?

With the exception of the anti-audism workshops and improv workshops, the workshops are for Deaf artists and writers who use ASL.

These workshops will not have voice-over interpretation or closed captioning.

These are ASL-only spaces and that’s something that’s so rare.

When is the deadline for applications?

2 months before for access to printed materials.

We may accept last-minute participants, depending on capacity.

The latest we can accept participants is 10 business days before the workshop series begins (with the exception of January’s workshop’s deadline).
