Rag Bag Cabaret at the Textile Museum

Put a star on your calendar to mark Saturday June 30th. The Rag Bag Cabaret is back! Hosted by Canadian comedy award nominee Rachelle Ellie, these fabulous shows are guaranteed to make you laugh, gasp and have a wonderful time.

The evening features master illusionist Ben Train who will amaze with magic, mindreading and more. Ben is a full time magician and the founder of Toronto Magic Company. When he isn’t on stage he’s producing magic events all over North America and lecturing and performing all over the world. Also headlining is the Canadian Showtime Chorus. These gold-medal champions specialize in a cappella four-part harmony and ranks in the top 20 of more than 600 choruses worldwide. Laugh mistress Ashley Krawchenko, winner of Yuk Yuk’s summer comedy competition, will have you howling in the aisles as will laugh master Jesse Reynolds from Ottawa’s Jump Radio. Delightful Drag artist Kimmy Dymond and Burlesque Dream Zyra Lee Vanity will add spice and pizazz to the evening’s top-notch performances.

Terrific prizes from Almonte shops will be offered throughout the evening. And don’t forget to bring your dancing shoes for a dance party to follow the show with DJ Jazzy George. This wonderful evening of entertainment starts with cocktails at 6:30 with the show at 8 p.m. It takes place at the Mississippi Valley Textile Museum, 3 Rosamond St. E. in Almonte. Tickets are $35 and are available at Baker Bob’s and on Eventbrite. Laggards pay $45 at the door. Don’t miss “The Cabaret” daahling.
