Have you ever wondered how to achieve beautiful light in your figure drawings and paintings? There's so much more to the science of light than just finding the shadow and light shapes.
In this 2 day intensive workshop, we'll discuss the subtleties of light when figure drawing, including shaping your gradation, atmospheric effects, how highlights work, and buckets more.
This class is for intermediate to advanced students, but don't let that intimidate you - as long as you're beyond the stick figure stage, this class will help improve your work.
You will leave with a deeper understanding of:
The physics of light
How light and natural form interact
The four orders of light effects
The rules of organic form
Why you want to think about eggs when you’re lighting the figure
The importance of wedging light shapes
How to make your figures look full and round
