Under the direct supervision of the Head, Art Bank, the Manager, Exhibitions and Outreach, manages the Canada Council’s exhibition spaces including Âjagemô (located at 150 Elgin St, Ottawa).
As the Manager, Exhibitions and Outreach, you will:
promote awareness of the collection;
develop and manage original multidisciplinary exhibitions using the Art Bank collection, loans and/or exhibitions from other collections, including calls for curators;
manage all logistics;
identify public engagement opportunities such as educational and cultural tours;
develop and manage touring exhibitions and loans to galleries;
develop and maintain partnerships;
commission work for the video wall at the Canada Council’s 150 Elgin Street location;
oversee and contribute to the development and implementation of communication strategies for the Art Bank and Âjagemô;
oversee special projects; and perform other related duties.
You may be required to travel up to 30 days per year and on occasion, work irregular hours. The duties of this position require the direct supervision of one (1) employee.
